Old Marylebone Town Hall is one of the best spots for a small London wedding. Its famous steps are perfect for fun confetti shots, and the beautiful building has lovely little corners for photos. Many well-known celebrities like Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, and Liam Gallagher have tied the knot here, which makes it feel extra special.
I was really excited to photograph their day—this venue had been on my wish list for a long time! As I got on the morning train to London, I knew it would be something special. And it truly was—Alisha and Joshua’s wedding was just as lovely as I imagined.
The first meeting
Having met at university, Alisha and Joshua’s journey is one of deep friendship that blossomed into love. They wanted a personal, effortless wedding, and true to who they are. With its elegant architecture and timeless charm, Marylebone Town Hall was the perfect setting for their London elopement.
I took a documentary approach to wedding photography, quietly observing and capturing the fleeting, unscripted moments—Joshua’s nervous smile as he waited on the steps.
What made this wedding stand out was the modern yet heartfelt simplicity. No elaborate production, just real emotion, beautiful light, and two people deeply in love. My goal as a London documentary wedding photographer is to notice what often goes unseen—glances, gestures, laughter—and to preserve those in a way that feels honest and timeless.
After the ceremony, we embraced a classic London moment—celebrating with a sprinkle of champagne and clinking glasses.
Before I wrapped up for the day, the three of us took a relaxed stroll along the river, capturing more portraits with some of London’s iconic landmarks in the background.
