Why do some parents miss the photography window of 5- 14 days?
In some cases, mums need more recovery time and babies have to stay longer in hospitals; in that case, there’s no need to worry about missing the newborn session stage (two weeks). Some babies are born prematurely. The list goes on and on for reasons to wait, and it’s really no big deal if we do photos later.
So, some newborns may end up coming to me as old as 2 months for their session…and that’s totally fine! I can still capture adorable memories of your sweet baby. I am experienced in photographing many older babies due to them coming to me after an extended NICU stay, Mom needed extra time to recover, and contacting me after the baby was a few weeks old.
We can focus on getting lots of sweet awake pictures of your baby, showing off their cute expressions and interacting with the camera.

With my years of photographing newborns and training, I will be fully prepared to photograph your newborn if he/she is an older newborn baby.
Just want to set expectations as to what to expect because things are done a little differently than with a baby at 4 weeks. Older babies (more than 1 month old) are generally more awake, with adorable awake shots with better eye contact (a lot less crossed eyes)…. Babies will be mostly wrapped for these images. The session will have different prop setups, including close-ups of babies, beanbag poses, Outfits, family, and siblings, to create a wonderful gallery. These moments are equally special and will create memories to treasure.
All of the babies in the photos are 5-12 weeks old at the time of the session. You can see that adorable photos are possible at any age, so don’t stress if you didn’t get photos done early on. I’ve got you covered!
