Bonfire Night in Milton Keynes is celebrated on November 5 each year, as the saying goes: “Remember, remember the fifth of November.” This year, November 5 falls on a Tuesday. While there will be some displays on the actual date, most events are scheduled for the weekend before or after to maximize the festivities.
Although this year’s Milton Keynes Fireworks Spectacular at Campbell Park has been canceled due to insufficient funding, numerous fireworks displays will still occur in and around the city throughout the coming week.
Last year, we visited Cambel Park, and the fireworks were mesmerizing. It’s worth checking in case it happens again at the last minute like the last year.

Tips for Enjoying Fireworks In Milton Keynes 2024
- Book Ahead: While some events offer tickets at the gate, many sell out quickly and don’t keep tickets for last-minute attendees. To avoid disappointment, make sure to plan and book your tickets in advance.
- Dress for the Weather: The famously unpredictable British weather often brings cold and wet conditions in early November. To stay warm and dry, dress in layers and include a waterproof outer layer.
- Carry Cash: Most venues now accept card payments, but it’s better to be prepared with cash. The last thing you need is to be caught in a chilly field unable to buy a warm snack or drink. Stop by an ATM before arriving at your chosen event.
- Leave Sparklers at Home: Even though sparklers are a classic part of Bonfire Night, many organized events either prohibit them or only allow those purchased on-site. To avoid any issues, save your sparklers for use at home.
Note: This guide will be updated as more information on displays becomes available or if any changes occur, such as cancellations like those by Campbell Fireworks. Always check with event organizers before heading out to avoid wasted trips with friends, family, or dates in the chilly November twilight.
