There is something incredibly special about welcoming a family back into my studio for another milestone.

This lovely family first came to me for their little boy’s cake smash photoshoot, and now, a little while later, they returned with their beautiful daughter for her own special celebration. Being chosen to photograph not just one, but both of their children is something I feel genuinely proud and grateful for.

As a photographer, these moments mean so much more than simply taking beautiful photographs. I get to watch families grow, celebrate new chapters, and capture memories that they will look back on for years to come.

From a Jungle Cake Smash to a Princess Cake Smash

When they brought their son for his cake smash session in Milton Keynes, they chose a fun jungle theme — and it was absolutely perfect for him!

The colours, the little details and, of course, his personality all came together beautifully. He had such a wonderful time exploring his cake smash setup, and we captured so many happy memories from this special stage of his childhood.

This time, it was their daughter’s turn, and they chose a beautiful princess cake smash theme.

And she absolutely stole the show!

She did so incredibly well during her cake smash photoshoot. From the moment she arrived, she was ready to enjoy her special celebration, and seeing her personality shine through made the session even more memorable.

There is something magical about photographing a little girl’s first birthday and creating a beautiful princess-inspired setup just for her. The tiny details, her expressions, the smiles and those precious little moments all make the photographs so special.

She truly embraced her princess cake smash session, and I loved every moment of capturing it.

Watching Families Grow Is One of My Favourite Parts of Being a Photographer
