About
Me
Hi, I am Rachana
WIFE, MOTHER,
& PHOTOGRAPHER
Through every wedding I’ve had the privilege of capturing, I’ve honed my style to blend the raw, candid moments of photojournalism with the refined, artistic touch of editorial photography. My eye seeks honesty, beauty, and informed documentation to make intentional choices when creating a gallery truly inspired by who YOU are.
Picking a wedding photographer is not an easy task! It’s crucial to get it right. So, I thought I’d tell you a bit about me as a person. This way, we can see if we’d be a good fit.
I am a full-time, professional wedding photographer based in Milton keynes I have been running my own business, Papaya Peach Photography’ for over 9 years now.
Photography has been my full-time career. I have focused on maternity and newborn photography in Milton Keynes since 2017.
As time passed, I got a sign through an opportunity to work with amazing mentors in the wedding photography community. Through them, I gained a ton of education and insight into what it takes to be a phenomenal wedding photographer- and I know I have it.
Now, I have been enjoying photographing weddings and engagement sessions since 2023.
I love capturing the happiest moments in people’s lives. My wedding photography blends photojournalistic and editorial styles, focusing on real, authentic moments as they naturally unfold. Being present with your people is what matters most.
In a world that often feels staged, your wedding day shouldn’t be. It’s a sacred beginning—about you, your partner, and your journey together. My aim is to create space for you to be fully present and truly experience every moment.
If you’ve gotten this far, I want focus a bit more about how I capture your day.

You may wonder what the difference in Photojournalism and Editorial style.
Photojournalism aims to document the real and raw action that happens at a wedding with little to no interruption. This style captures the true essence of an experience by observing and waiting for real life to happen in front of the camera lens.
Editorial wedding photography is a much more curated and involved style of photography. Editorials are usually heavily directed because it is meant to be material that will be used for publication. Each little piece of the image is crafted together to create the art. This is a directive and invasive to the wedding day.
Why do I shoot both styles?
As you probably gathered, these two styles are opposites. A wedding day is one of the most complex photography jobs out there. Some parts of the day, I am simply observing and anticipating sweet moments to come. During your portraits for you and your family, I am directing people into place, fixing stray hairs, and reminding the men to put their hands in their pockets. During reception, I do need to jump in quickly to make the lighting just right.
I am probably the right wedding photographer for you if you value
- Being present on the wedding day
- Candid, in-between moments with a few posed and composed imagery
- Documentation of the messy and imperfect things
- Motion blur and grain
I truly believe the best way to capture a wedding is through a blend of both styles. You deserve to be fully present, while also having beautiful, timeless imagery. When you hire a photographer like me, who works seamlessly between both, you can relax—knowing you’ll enjoy uninterrupted moments when it matters most, and still have gentle guidance when it helps keep things smooth and stress-free.

ECOSYSTEM
A hint of my life outside of weddings
Outside of photography, my world revolves around my little family—my son and my husband. They are my constant source of joy and grounding, and the reason behind so much of what I do. We love travelling together, exploring new places across the UK and beyond, creating memories that I quietly treasure just as much as the ones I capture for others.
At heart, I’m a lover of love. Being trusted to document such meaningful chapters in people’s lives is something I never take for granted, and I feel incredibly lucky to tell stories that will be cherished for years to come.
